Galkot FM is the one and only radio broadcast service in operation in Galkot.
Even though one can tune in to various stations like Radio Tamghas, Radio Burtibang, Baglung FM, Sayapatri FM broadcasted from Baglung and other neighbouring places like Burtibang, Baglung and Gulmi, it is the sole audio media house dedicated for Galkot.
It broadcasts different contents ranging from news, updates, music and entertainment to interview and discussion, and live broadcast of various different events too.
It has been household name in most of the houses in Galkot for news updates and entertainment.
It has network affiliation with Ujyaalo 90 Network and broadcasts its central news service daily.
Audience can also listen the BBC Nepali’s daily news program.
It broadcasts at the bandwidth of 102.4 MHz. Its office is in Hatiya Bajaar, Baglung and is run under Galkot Suchana Tatha Sanchaar Sahakari Sanstha Ltd.
It started its formal transmission from 2068 Shrawan 14 B.S.
It also publishes ‘Galkot Patra‘ weekly.
